This policy explains how Harbour Radio CIC handles information when you use the Harbour Radio app. Harbour Radio CIC (company number 12490862) is the data controller. Our registered address is The Vicarage Hub, 24 Church Plain, Great Yarmouth, NR30 1NE. You can contact us at info@harbourradio.co.uk.
The app does not require an account and does not include advertising, analytics or location tracking. When you listen, it connects to Radiojar to play the live stream and retrieve programme and track information. Radiojar may receive technical information needed to deliver the service, such as your IP address and standard network request information. Streaming may use mobile data when you are not connected to Wi-Fi.
If you choose to contact us, the app opens your email or WhatsApp service. We receive the information you decide to send, such as your contact details and message. Email and WhatsApp handle information under their own privacy policies.
We use information where necessary for our legitimate interests in providing the live radio service, maintaining its security and reliability, and responding when listeners contact us. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
Technical information is processed by service providers needed to operate the app, including Radiojar. Information you send through email or WhatsApp is also processed by those providers. Some providers may process information outside the UK and are responsible for using appropriate legal safeguards where required.
The app does not create an advertising profile or keep a listening history. We retain messages sent to Harbour Radio only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, manage the relationship, or meet a legal obligation. Service providers may retain technical records under their own policies.
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to ask for access to your personal information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its use, or to object to how it is used. To make a request, email info@harbourradio.co.uk. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
We may update this policy if the app or our service providers change. The latest version and its update date will be published on this page.
