A47 Delays after crash
The accident happened this morning about 100 metres before the Acle roundabout.
It is impacting on traffic between Norwich and Great Yarmouth.
A Norfolk Police spokesman said officers were called just before 7.30am.
Paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service Trust were also called
£3,000 has been raised for a four-year-old daughter of a lifeboat hero as she undergoes treatment for cancer.
Hemsby lifeboat coxswain Daniel Hurd and his partner Amanda Goffin received the devastating news that their four-year-old daughter Lucie had kidney and lung cancer.
An event Held at Hemsby Village Hall last night, included live music, a charity head shave, raffle and burger van, raising a total of £3,125 for the cause.
Mr Hurd, 36, who lives in Hemsby, said: “It is absolutely amazing, we are so chuffed.
Lucie recently underwent a five hour operation at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, and Mr Hurd and his partner are now waiting for the results ahead of planned radiotherapy treatment.
74 year old man rushed home to his house destroyed by fire
The blaze broke out at the two-storey home in Apsley Road, in Great Yarmouth, at around 11.20pm last night.
Police believe the fire was started deliberately and a person has been arrested.
The owner, who did not wish to be named, was in Gorleston when he received a call from the taxi firm he works for alerting him of the fire.
The fire was believed to have started in the upstairs front bedroom.
Two fire crews from Great Yarmouth and two from Gorleston responded to the incident along with police.
Inspector Brian Sweeney said: “It is thought the fire was started deliberately.
“One person has been arrested and our enquiries are ongoing.
“There were no serious injuries, but one male was taken to hospital.”
Police have found a missing woman from Lowestoft.
Rebecca Supple was last seen in Gunton Church Lane, Lowestoft, at 10am this morning, and was thought to have left in her Black Ford KA.
Police were concerned for her welfare.
However she has now been found in Grange Road, Beccles, and is safe with police.
