19 Nov Ice Rink and Christmas Fayre
The Ice rink which is being run by Great Yarmouth Borough Council, will be opening daily from noon on Friday 20th November ‘with a short break for everyone to watch the lights switch on and the firework display’ through to Sunday 3rd January except Christmas day.
Prices for a 45 minute session with skate hire are £6.00 for adults, £5.00 for children aged 4-16 and £26.50 for a group of up to five. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
This is the start of the three day Christmas Fayre which will be officially opened by Cllr.Shirley Weymouth the Lady Mayor of Great Yarmouth at 10:00am. It will run until late on Friday then 10:00am until 5:00pm Saturday and 10:00am until 4:00pm Sunday.
There will be many activities including a giant snowball Globe photo booth, walk about Ice people, mischievous elves and fairies, demonstrations and music on the Market Place stage, as well as produce gifts for sale.
The Santa Express will run a free shuttle service for shoppers from 10:00am until 4:00pm between the Market Place and the Minster.
There will be free weekend parking in the town centre car parks, after 4:00pm week days.
The closing parade on Sunday will start outside River Island at 3:30pm, arriving at Great Yarmouth Minster at 3:45 for the closing ceremony.

Wear warm clothing including socks. Gloves should all so be warn. Arms and legs should be covered. Avoid long coats, scarves and jewellery.
A first aider will be available in the ice rink marquee.
