PIC BY DAVID BLACK/MERCURY PRESS (PICTURED: THE SEAGULL PHOTOBOMBS THE RED ARROWS FLYING OVER CLACTON AIR SHOW) An amateur photographer has had the internet in a flap with his once-in-a-lifetime snap of a seagull photobombing a Red Arrows display. David Black, 34, from Colchester, Essex, was visiting the Clacton Air Show on August 27 when the legendary formation flying squad put on a performance. Floor and roof tiler David was taking photographs with his iPhone 5S all the way back to the bus and could not be believe it when he got on with wife Ruth, 33, and one-year-old Ellana and assessed his shots. No, wait, it’s just a well timed seagull.

The coastal dweller clearly has dreams of joining the RAF’s display team one day, and even started flying in formation with his heroes during their performance during the Clacton Air Show last month (but he was probably a few thousand feet below the planes).

David Black, 34, snapped the one in a million picture with his iPhone 5s while leaving the show.
